I was privileged to spend time in a small town on the outskirts of Mexico City, where, as one of a few outsiders, I was able to photograph the annual Pasión de Cristo. Walking the streets with the procession, I experienced the fervor of the reenactment, the deep reverence held for Christ, and the sacrifices people are willing to make to demonstrate their devotion.
